Pacific Association of First Nations Women (PAFNW) is dedicated to bringing about change in our world and supporting and uplifting Indigenous women. We envision a matriarchal community where all Indigenous women in BC are safe and respected with a sense of belonging and connection to cultural traditions. PAFNW is proud to offer our first online course, Moving Forward: Online Management Training for Indigenous Peoples by Indigenous Peoples
Everything I've ever attended at PAFNW has been the best time ever. We get spoiled - lotsa good eats, we have fun with lotsa good company, we get to do community stuff together - like pick berries at UBC farm, we get to make beautiful things from mother earth - like the lavender candles we made at UBC and there's other things I haven't had a chance to take part in yet - the Indigenous arts and crafts which make us loud, proud and wowed. And the people that coordinate these activities and the volunteers take excellent care of us. Eg. They make sure we don't miss out by providing us with rides. Anyhoo, thank you to the people who make these things happen and to the participants. I look forward to sharing more fun times with you, somewhere down the line. Meanwhile, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Luv Y'all.
A great journey for our urban indigenous revitalization, thank you for existing and loving our people through culture.
Just went to my first Craft night event they put on. I was very very happy to find this place. Everyone is super nice and seem to love sharing their knowledge. My first little project is making some moccasins for my baby girl, so I really appreciate the help and direction as I have never attempted these before. Also the drinks and food provided was awesome..... fresh fruit, coffee cake etc. Can’t wait for all the future events!
Wonderful organization full of indigenous women who are beautiful inside and out. Great programs. they really care. Chi miigwech😀
